Baby Boy Shower

To celebrate the arrival of
two
special babies
we did a bit of decorating and got to partying!

To make it simple we decided on a
colour theme, and went from there.
We had two showers actually one day after the other, and they where both boys.
(great way to capitalize on all the excitement!)
As you can see we picked the colour turquoise,
(an easy choice in this house!)

Flowers from the garden.

This tray sits on the kitchen table all year long so we didn't do a thing here.

Just added a few turquoise wrapped candies....

A few pom pom's & a torn fabric garland.

...a few sparkly elements.

Our eldest daughter Kelly made the two chalkboards
and took all these pictures.
This board sat on a wee turquoise chair,
inside a crib that held all the gifts!

A wee peek at one of the babes.

We made mini cupcakes, and they where almost all gone!
I was so glad, as I haven't made these a lot,
my daughter is fearless tho, and has done them & did the icing.
Cream Cheese Icing with
lemon rind or vanilla bean I am sure didn't hurt!

The punch is (yellow) lemonade .

To turn this into a  turquoise drink,
you add as much Blue Kool Aide
as needed,
to achieve the desired colour!

We keep it very simple around here, fruit & cupcakes!

Entertaining with my two daughters is wonderful,
they are  helpful, fun, and fearless.
Thank you Kelly & Maren!

And a special thanks to all the friends, moms & babes!

Heathers Chicken coup, Cushions!

A few cushions I made for a photo shoot years ago.
Photography Janis Nicole.

Vintage table cloths, and sheets.
The white cushion cover is a
vintage linen
folded over, sewn, turned right side out!
Super easy and so pretty!
Don't you think?
