  9. I love pearl buttons. I have a clear glass jar full of them. I would love to find more ways to display the really beautiful ones. I use some for making jewlery and I embelished a lamp shade edge years ago with old buttons. Love how that turned out...

  10. Oh, do I have buttons! I have a large vintage cookie jar on the counter. When children come into the shop, I sit them down, give them some old muffin tins and let them sort through the collection. This gives Mom some time to do a bit of shopping and keeps little fingers busy. Most often the kids don't want to leave!

  12. One of my most favorite memories ever is playing in my mom's cookie tin full of buttons. I can still see them in my mind's eye.
I have no idea what happened to them. I don't remember seeing them as an adult.
She had thousands in there and I would run my fingers through them like they were jewels and really they were.

  18. Yes, I have an old tin (with a young Queen Elizabeth on it) full of old buttons. I will probably never use them for anything, but it just makes me happy to look at them. They were my grandmother's. :)
