pretty @ the sink

Even the simplest things can bring you a moment of visual delight.
We spend a lot of time @ the kitchen sink in our lives
...so why not make it pretty!

These pictures are from last fall & are the last roses from the garden
...I love to take the tiny ones and make them important by putting them in the smallest vessel I can! This pink measure is so sweet.....

I have used this Evian water bottle for dish soap for years and it still makes me smile!
(My girlfriend Lisa gave me this hand soap...it seems pretty spring like to me!)

We had a mad dash of snow the other day ..and I am so ready for
S P R I N G
I just want to Thank our youngest for taking these pictures for me!

SUCH PRETTINESS!

What hard working area of your home is pretty just because?

Love how you've prettyfied your sink area. The bottles are so charming, and the fresh roses are the perfect finishing touch. And your daughter did a great job with the photography :-)

I never thought a sink, bubbles,& a soap dispenser would look so appealing. That last photo, in particular, is very pretty. It is a reminder how often we overlook everyday things!

What a great idea..our soap bottles are so blah and our sink area always looks like a mess, I would love to just have ONE of these pretty things sitting at the sink! Thanks for the inspiration!

I think I want to come to your house and do your dishes Colleen. DO you want to wash or dry?
I try to make the mudroom pretty, because it is often the place people see when they come to my back door. All of Dale's friends come to that door.

I had a great trip home and yes I made a ton of pit stops. I think I saw every bathroom in the state of Nevada. But Nevada is a desolate state, so we only went through about five towns :) and I got to stop at every one. We went through the least populated part of the state, even though we were only 70 miles from Las Vegas, it all seemed so barren.
sending many hugs your way...

Oh how pretty! I'm always trying to find a way to spruce around my current sink as it doesn't have a window; just a wall of cream tile. ~blahhh~
You've inspired me to start with my soap bottles as I have collected some of different shapes, materials, and colors. : ) I'm a new follower and would love if you'd follow back. I'd also love if you'd share this post at my Frugal Treasures Tuesday party going on now. Great tip for renters who can't always add colors on walls.
