Fred

By the time you see this I will be back from a 5 day holiday! ....for the first time in 2 years!
And this is the reason ...well part of the reason...
why we haven't been away !

Last year our eldest daughter got married..
(more on that when its closer to the anniversay date)
...our youngest graduated a month before!
And smack dab in between.....this magnificent beast became very very sick
....then three months later he got very very hurt....
He is recovering (more on this another time )...
As you can see in these pics....
(with our youngest...his owner!
taken by Megan Edelman)
he..."FRED"..is looking amazingly well!
So well that we took 5 days off!
.and went to the lake!

We were sooo excited to rest...and we did!
but we are really excited that Fred is well enough now that we could leave...
trusting his care to others!
Thanks to the farm family & big thanks to Vicky!

I know how our animals can cause our plans to change or not even happen. So glad you finally were able to take a well deserved brake with a clear mind.

What a beautiful horse. I am happy to know he is doing well and sorry he was hurt. Poor fellow! The photographs are beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by...About how I found you, well I am not quite sure, I looked at your blog list and perhaps you had commented at LuLu's. I frequently read comments and if I like them I will go visit so that is probably how. Or if someone else mentions someone I will check them out...I enjoy your blog, it has a very good feel.

Hi Colleen,
Fred is just beautiful. Is that your barn and stables? Wow! Our horses would love a barn like this. It is just wonderful!!! A good place to care for a sick horse. It is such a worry when they are ill. They truly become beloved members of the family don't they? Amazing creatures...every one.
Your roses are beautiful in your Tabletop post. I think roses make a tabletop. I love cutting all the flowers for the house. Such a calming chore...if you can even call it that.
It was so good to hear from you and I enjoy your blog so much.
hugs
