...I.m Late...I'm Late....For a very important date!..
Well ...here I am in my bathroom...
Quality of picture is my fault!
But the jug you have seen before...I love this little
And the roses are some of the last from our garden
....for this blooming spurt!
And of course a bathroom is not a bathroom in this
house without antique linens!
The details and texture are delightful!
Have a great day.....its sunny here!

A year ago today!
(cuz today is saturday..)
Only it was the 25th of July...
These two great kids got married!
We had 102 degree weather..clouds....and then thunder lightening rain & hail!
We loved every minute of it!
Our eldest daughter & her husband of 1 year!
Happy anniversary ...we are so proud of you & love you sooo much!

By the time you see this I will be back from a 5 day holiday! ....for the first time in 2 years!
And this is the reason ...well part of the reason...
why we haven't been away !

Last year our eldest daughter got married..
(more on that when its closer to the anniversay date)
...our youngest graduated a month before!
And smack dab in between.....this magnificent beast became very very sick
....then three months later he got very very hurt....
He is recovering (more on this another time )...
As you can see in these pics....
(with our youngest...his owner!
taken by Megan Edelman)
he..."FRED"..is looking amazingly well!
So well that we took 5 days off!
.and went to the lake!

We were sooo excited to rest...and we did!
but we are really excited that Fred is well enough now that we could leave...
trusting his care to others!
Thanks to the farm family & big thanks to Vicky!

Of all the pieces we sell one of the most romantic has to be wicker.
It conjures up images from Victorian extravagance to
Cottage Charm!
These two pieces relaxing in our back yard are so sweet!
The chair has spring construction!...but because it needs a good recover I just wrapped it with a vintage tablecloth till I decide!
The cushion is a vintage linen folded in thirds sewn and
"slip covered" over a lumbar feather pillow form!
We have a huge inventory of milk glass
and theses tumblers are some of my favorites!
The roses are thanks to our great heat wave (4 days)
last week!
Have a great Tuesday!
Anyone wanting to share their tabletops ...please do!

p.s. if you have time scroll below and see the posts of
photo shoot!

Here are some more pics of the magazine photo shoot..
(look below for the first set!)
The middle one here did not get in the article
but it is note worthy cuz I love how we used the
old sewing machine cabinet as a
"hall" table in between the two bedrooms..
(there is no hall but thats kinda the feel)
the bench & quilts!
The bench is painted ..Waterfall by Benjamin Moore
(kudos to Heather for that!)
Don't you just LOVE the jars!
Well I am going to try to get to Missing Goat today!

Heather from A Day In The Country's Farm!
Have a great weekend!

Style At Home

Has published their August issue!

My wonderful friend Linda has a cottage just step from the ocean!
Heather Cameron (A Day In The Country) Producer Stylist,
Janis Nicola (Pine Cone Camp) Photographer,
and myself Vintage Home did a story there!
It is the sweetest little place just perfect for a summer holiday!
The decor is all beachy and fresh.
Lots of garage sale finds, painted the colour of
ocean & sky!
I am going to post the paint colours if anyone will be interested!

Do you know of a delightful getaway that is
restful & fresh! ?

Just another Tuesday at the kitchen table!
Bob got this wacky candle holder...not very old...@ a garage sale, but it looks great!
It comes apart & the join has a plastic seal...the bottom says
Made In Italy!
Do any of you know where its from?
I think it might be a home party piece?
I know it won't be around for long ...old or not it is going to go home with a newer owner!
The old creamer & sugar set is mine & I found these two pieces years ago about 4 miles apart & 2 months apart??? ...But they are a set!
The sweet milk glass piece is part of our huge inventory that we sell,
I think it must be a candy dish.
It looks great here with the acidy green candle!
The jug is from Fanny's Fabrics ..years ago!...But I love it like it was an heirloom!
(you can get a look alike @ Super Store...when they have them!)
The Hydrangea & Lady's Mantle are mine and this is a great year for them!
Have a great day...we are getting SUN today!...
Again thanks to Sarah...& my youngest!

...at the beach...
This is the summer cottage of dear friends and I was lucky enough to work with
Heather Cameron (A Day In The Country)
Janis Nicola (Pinecone Camp)
(I have yet to learn how to link...please be patient)
This in NOT Janis taking the picture (I am sure you can tell!)
...I took this with my daughters camera.
So I am waiting for the mag to come out ...very soon...so I can publish the real pictures!
This cottage is very tiny with sweet rooms...anyone who loves soft blues pinks whites
& lots of turquoise will love this.
Its in Style At Home ...August Issue!
Let me know how you like it!
